Think about it.....the first response came from the innkeeper. Do you think he was a mean person? No place in his inn for a birth.....only the stable was available. He wasn't actually mean.....he was just preoccupied with his guests that were in his inn. None of us are guilty of being preoccupied and not having time for Jesus.....right?
The next response came from King Herod. Jealous of a child, jealous of anyone that might upstage him....plans to kill newborn male babies. We don't ever get jealous of others and surely we don't get jealous of Jesus....right?
The third response came from Simeon when he declared "For my eyes have seen your salvation" ...when he saw baby Jesus. He was granted the opportunity to see what being a committed Christian can bring.
Where are you this Christmas? Preoccupied? Jealous? Committed to Christ?
